In solidarity with women’s rights activists throughout the country, Seattle NOW is pleased to present a special screening of the award-winning documentary, “Catching Sight of Thelma & Louise” in support of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)

Following the film will be a panel of Special Guest Speakers who deal with gender-based violence in their work. They will engage the audience in an animated discussion delving into support for survivors of sexual violence, the legal justice system and actions individuals can take to make the world safer for women and girls.

Stay tuned for more details about our panel members and specific topics to be covered.

About the film: “Catching Sight of Thelma & Louise” dives off the edge into the truth of women’s experiences in the world. The powerful documentary revisits the journey of “Thelma & Louise” through the lens of viewers who saw the iconic film in 1991 and shared intimate, personal, stories at that time. The same women and men were tracked down and interviewed 25 years later; are their responses different now? What has changed in the way women are treated?
