Join Seattle NOW for an evening of information and training about I-1329, an initiative launched by WAmend to urge Washington’s Congressional delegation to propose amending the United States Constitution to clarify that Constitutional rights apply to natural persons not corporations and to authorize greater regulation of political contributions and expenditures.

Our speaker is Libby Carr, Campaign Manager for WAmend. She has been a civic activist for decades. Her last campaign was co-chairing the community organization that raised money to install the Statue of Liberty Plaza at Alki Beach in West Seattle. Libby will inform us of the content and purpose of I-1329 and provide training for those who are able/willing to volunteer as signature gatherers for I-1329.

360,000 signatures have to be collected before the end of June 2014. Join us, learn, get involved.
