Dear Making Change At Walmart Puget Sound,
Walmart-Economy: EXPOSED coming to YOU!
Inequality is a word in most speeches of candidates seeking election this year. However what they specifically are going to do to address the root causes of inequality is not as clear. Making Change At Walmart is instigating a series of events across the US to link the roots causes of inequality with the Walmart-Economy model that is fast becoming the norm in retail and service sectors.
Walmart-Economy Exposed
Don’t Let Corporations ‘Get Out of Jail Free’
Friday, September 19th, Noon
Seattle City Hall

Making Change at Walmart & Our Walmart Puget Sound will join members of Working WA, SEIU 775, SEIU 6, Casa Latina and other unions and community organizations to connect enforcement of Wage Theft, Paid Sick & Safe Leave and our most recent positive policy $15 minimum wage as a direct challenge to the low bar Walmart-Economy. Without enforcement, companies and businesses are given ‘Get Out of Jail Free’ cards when it comes to honoring rights for workers. Only through a robust integration of these policies and future polices that address unfair scheduling for low wage workers can we send a strong message to Walmart and Walmart-wannabee employers that in Seattle this is unacceptable.
