The legislature is in session and, dysfunctional as it might be, it will be making decisions on many issues that are important to women, children, and families. It is a budget year, which means decisions being made this session will have a long-term impact.
Decisions about Violence Against Women, Paid Family Leave, WA State’s Reproductive Parity Act, Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF), Voting Rights, and the Implications of the Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) on those of us in WA.
These are only a few of the items that are on the table.
JOIN US as WA State NOW Coordinator Linda Tosti-Lane and Seattle NOW Legislative Coordinator Keena Bean provide us with the information we need to have an impact on important legislative issues this year.
