July Community Meeting - American Hospitals: Healing a Broken System
Today hospital care is too often about money and power than serving the health needs of patients and the community. “American Hospitals” examines the pernicious incentives driving health care’s astronomical pricing, its monopolistic practices and the pervasive inequities in access and treatment. The film identifies innovative solutions that deserve national attention to restore hospitals to their historic focus on community health at affordable cost.

Run for Precinct Officer in Your Neighborhood!
Are you itching to get engaged in your community somehow, but unsure where to start?
Are you running out of small talk to make with your neighbors while out on your 25 daily walks down the block?
Seattle NOW is very excited to host an informational session about becoming a Precinct Committee Officer (PCO). PCOs are elected by the two major parties - Democrats and Republicans - and serve at the most local level - their own neighborhood.
PCOs have the ability to influence their local party platforms, endorsements, and most importantly, assist with voter turnout in their neighborhood. They have amazing opportunities to connect not only with their local community, but build coalitions across cities and counties to make political change.
JOIN US for an informative session where we break down this role, and the process for becoming one! Filing week to become a PCO is May 16th through MAY 20th! So you won’t want to miss this.
